Dan693 510 #1 Posted February 6, 2017 (edited) Hey All, Just got my 50 YO Lawn Ranger running. Is anyone aware of someone that is somewhat near Indy and works on these old Tecumseh"s? I want to have the carb and governor adjusted properly. It seems to run pretty strong just a little goofy on the setup. I would be glad to pay a few bucks for an experienced person to do it instead of me bumbling around forever and never really sure its right. Thanks! KC9KAS 4,741 #2 Posted February 6, 2017 From what I read and understand, a replacement carb for the Techy's is just about as economical as a rebuild kit and are usually easier to get adjusted. I have a 654 with a 6 hp Techy and it gives me fits! 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'm rebuilding a 5 HP tech right now and I agree with this statement. I found a new replacement carb for 20$ about 30 with shipping.
