B-100 repower

Recommended Posts

After two engine failures of my Kohler K-241, I decided to install a new engine which would come with a warranty.  I picked a Honda twin that came in a kit from Repower Specialists.  To make room, the gas tank had to be moved to a spot behind the seat, and the distance from the engine then required an electronic fuel pump.  The battery also had to be moved, so I cut away most of the old fuel tank holder and put the battery in that spot on some added brackets.  The rectifier got attached to the side of the battery box, and finally the front of the hood had to be jacked up about 3".  Since I have no metal working skills or tools, the needed brackets are crudely built, but functional.  The final touch was the new side decals provided by our own Vinylguy.

The new B-220 has LOTS of power!

:eusa-clap: I bet it's a beast too.

BTW...it looks like that your left rear hub has loosened up...

and slid further in on the axle, should be flush with the end.
