mikeeyre74 289 #1 Posted January 31, 2017 Goodness! There's no place to get a roll pin punch in here.. how are you supposed to get this parking brake pin installed or removed, if you wanted to?

mikeeyre74 289 #3 Posted January 31, 2017 Hang on... there's a roll pin on the OUTSIDE of this too? Snap.. mine is the cast pawl that I've had welded up to repair. There's a roll pin that holds it onto the shaft inside the transmission. Lemme go look at this closer.
pfrederi 17,902 #4 Posted January 31, 2017 Mine are the bail style so i do not know about another pin but I would guess you install it then push the shaft through the case from the inside put the lever on and pin it on the outside
mikeeyre74 289 #5 Posted January 31, 2017 Thank you! There was a bunch of dirt packed over top of the roll pin on THE OUTSIDE portion of the shaft and the PO had painted over top of that.. I didn't realize there was a roll pin out there too! I was trying to figure out how to drive the roll pin through the pawl from the INSIDE of the case! Hahah! I'm good now.
