C-81 transmission case gasket replacement parts?

As you guys know I'm new to rebuilding Wheel Horse tractors - BUT - I'm having a ton of fun getting into it.

 

When I need new parts, where do I get them from? The simple stuff. For instance a transmission case gasket for the C-81 8-speed transmission?

 

I'm sure I'll need other stuff as I go - is there an online store connected to Red Square or what do you guys do?

Most of us go to our favorite online Toro parts dealer. Mine is ProPartsDirect  Click on the link and it will take you directly to the transmission parts page. Your gasket is a #3912.

Another question - Where did you get the part number for the gasket? Is that from an original parts manual for the tractor?

Yes. However, you can get the part number from most of the online sites as well. That way if the number has been changed, you will be able to see the new number.

Check the vendors section here and the Red Square links section. Karl has some good parts links posted there as well. If your not finding the parts you need you are not looking hard enough Before I joined RS I thought most parts were made of unobtainium ...boy was I wrong. You can always use a shout out here or the wanted in classifieds too.
