Warning:Unsupervised 81 #27 Posted April 28, 2021 (edited) Oh I believe it, mine has a Mag 14 also. Last summer I used my 414-8 & my B100-8 (10hp) to put a new gravel driveway in. I used a snow/dirt blade with both tractors and I couldn't believe how powerful both tractors are. Having such low gears they'll move snow/dirt/rock very easily. I did snap the eyebolt for my lift lever moving my blade up/down so much..lol Thats a cheap & easy fix, serious workers no doubt about it, Pond certainly built them right. I just bought mine a few weeks ago. I love this thing. Definitely more power than my 854. Still fighting with the mower deck though, even with the deck leveled I'm still cutting high on one side. I'll mess with it more but definitely happy with mine. Can't wait to push some snow next winter.

I don't recognize this spindle, but I've only ever seen the 42 and 48 side discharge on older machines. But that looks 'weird' to me! p.s. should have cropped that green and yellow thing out of the pic! It hurts my eyes! richmondred01 2,237 #30 Posted April 28, 2021 (edited) That’s the 37” Mostly see them on the smaller units. Edited April 28, 2021 by richmondred01
Warning:Unsupervised 81 #31 Posted April 28, 2021 I fought my first wheel Horse (B100-8) 38" deck for a few weeks after buying it used years ago as I just didn't know anything about them so I fought leveling it. I've not had many WH deck issues except my first mowing deck leaned too..lol Had a couple bearings I replaced restoring my 42" deck so basic maintenance stuff is all. Then last year I learned (2) important things. 1st- Always look how a WH tractor bell crank is set up. 2nd- Use those square snap fit foam mats Harbor sells to lay down on to work on my decks/under mowers. I duct tape some together like a creeper without wheels to lay on because, I'm old so it hurts my old arse without one. I love my Ho Made HF Creepy Mat. Locate your tractors parts by clicking this link or your own link / manuals for your deck and/or tractor. I simply typed in 414 and got all the 414 models/yrs here is all, - My 1988 414-8 Lift parts link is also listed down below fyi.. Read on here first- https://www.jackssmallengines.com/jacks-parts-lookup/model-list/toro/414 Their are small notes in your "Parts Manuals" detailing what holes a deck ,blade, snow thrower, generator etc.. uses in the "Manual Lift Linkage" section. Then just pull the cover thats around the shifters off and with a flashlight verify which holes the lift linkage is/should be set on for desired attachment. If setup is for a deck you may be done right here?? Verify the Trunnion and eye bolt is not damaged, is straight and not stripped etc.. ?? Verify the small deck bumpers touch when floor while deck is fully raised and locked? If not adjust accordingly by adjusting the nut on the eye bolt and adjust the bump stops on the deck when it's raised. It's been a long time since I did mine but basically you just level things up while in a raised position. Your wheels aren't damaged, leaning falling off etc.. Tighten any wheels that are loose use spacers/washers if needed. Lower deck it should be level. Adjust mowing height with small lever on deck, no brainer, easier to raise deck here. Once it's right where you want it to be mow till your heart's content buddy. I use these wheels as my deck wheels. By far the best deck wheels I ever found, cheaper than stock Toro & I never replaced a single wheel since using this design well over 15 yrs ago. https://www.ebay.com/itm/113660259931?hash=item1a76adee5b:g:Aw8AAOSwYNRcb~W~ I temp switched two of my horses over from mower decks to dozer blades just for a couple weeks last year to make my driveway and I failed to change bell crank settings on either tractor. I not only worked harder lifting the blade up I added unnecessary stress on my eye bolt because my eye bolt snapped in half on my 414-8. These are hardened steel, welded eye bolts not basic cheap grade eye bolts in stores. Easy to fix it but I could have done more damage to things I didn't actually consider at the time. I don't think my replacement OEM Toro eyebolt is as strong as my original was just looking at it, but we'll see? Just so much low grade metal now days so I'm rather mad at myself still. This link should take you to the "Manual Lift Linkage" section for my 1988 414-8 parts section and it notes hole settings for implements used more often so you can see where the deck should be set at, hope I helped with something here at least. Still the best units on the planet imho, parts are everywhere and cheap. I have 4 because nobody buys just one unless they suffer from some sort of tractor collector illness. My 414-8 Lift Parts-- https://www.partstree.com/models/31-14k803-414-8-toro-garden-tractor-1988/manual-lift-linkage-20/ Nothing wrong with a Deere either but the color scheme. JD tractors just need these nice stripes on them, they can look amazing when they're finished out right, check out how easy its done too. https://tenor.com/view/no-toilet-paper-wiping-cleaning-spring-hectic-gif-16593196 Peace

I'm curious what a dog wiping his azz on the rug has to do with a John Deere? Or, is that self explanatory?

I would have liked a bigger one but I was tired of searching so I'll make do. As far as the JD goes, I just park my WH next to it so my daughter knows what a real garden tractor looks like. You can lead them to water but you can't make them drink 🤣
Warning:Unsupervised 81 #35 Posted April 29, 2021 Lol...no you sure cant, I tried that already too. There should be a tag on the deck showing model but if its gone I may have it to pass along? I say it because now that I think about it I have one of those funny decks on a 310-8. Its on a 1988 year tractor. Not sure if deck is same year but its a one owner tractor so Id saw same yr deck. The belt setup is strange on them for sure. Its a tach-a-matic setup but whats more odd to me isn't the spindles its the main belt. Belt is like a double V, so its a V on both sides so It flips over and runs however it damn well wants instead of the standard V belt on other Wheel Horses that always remain on one V side. I never looked at the size to know but it has a tag I believe so Ill get a picture of my tag to locate a break down for it. I'll get it tomarrow, rainy night here. 2-4 inches falling..
Warning:Unsupervised 81 #36 Posted April 29, 2021 05-37sc01 is my deck sticker number on my 37", had a sticker pic buried in my phone but I can get some deck picks tomarrow to help if you need that just let me know. Mine is a 1988, heres my parts list just be sure your looking at 37" "Side" or "Rear" discharge looking up parts, some deck diagrams are combined. My numbers off a "Side" discharge deck. Idk why but some list several different size decks together, hope the break down helps identify the deck? Like most Toro /Wheel Horse decks & Tractors this decks numbers end with (01) with other versions (02) or (03) etc? Weird thing on the 37" deck is the main drive belt is a double V design & the exposed deck pulleys. Its belts a V front & back both so as it runs it can flip over and over, so basically just runs however it wants unlike standard V belts that run true at all times. It is a tach-a-matic setup. Let me know if deck pics are needed. https://www.ereplacementparts.com/toro-0537sc01-1988-37in-side-discharge-mower-parts-c-121776_127291_514869.html
