slim67 2,735 #1 Posted January 24, 2017 I had to get an MRI this morning about 45 minutes south of me. On the way back my dad wanted to stop by the tractor salvage yard we occasionally go to so he could get a small part for his lawnmower. While I was walking into the shop I noticed a nice set of 6-12 ags on wheels. When the owner said 50 bucks , I asked if he took credit card. Hard to find these used and in good condition. They will be for my Suburban project.
artfull dodger 394 #2 Posted January 24, 2017 good deal, I have wrestled with putting or not putting ags on my new horse. I would want good vintage ones, but those are getting hard to come by affordably. And I need 23 8.50-12s for my Horse. Last plow day I went to(about the only time I ever need ag tires), I just put my snow chains on and did just as good and saved what usualy costs 100-150 a pair. Great deal on a nice vingate pair! Good score! Mike the Aspie

Good score! Mike the Aspie Thanks Mike. When I did my parents garden in years past, our Sears SS12 had the usual 23 x 10.50-12 turf tires with weights and chains and it did fine. I have the original Firestone Town & Country tires but each one has a blown out side wall about 4 inches long. I could patch them on the inside and run tubes but when I saw these, I shelved that idea. I am keeping them for now since I always change my mind. Those are 120.00 apiece on ebay! The guy I got this set from is a great guy and very reasonable on his prices. He is got a field full of salvage tractors to boot but I didnt notice any round hoods but did see a Jim Dandy he would sell reasonable. One of these days I am going down just to walk around and see whats there. PS I also have a set of 6-12 Firestone ags that were filled but again both have split sidewalls.
