Cosmetic weight "dilemma".

Recommended Posts

Hi Redsquare, not been around for a while...happy new year, and I hope your all doing well.

I am in a quandary, l was lucky enough to buy another set of rear weights for my mowing horse. As you can see they need some paint, so..... Do I go with the red (which I really like) but which will not match the front rims, or maybe try silver.....just to shake things up. :dunno:

I know, I've not got enough on, but thought I'd throw it out there for members opinions.

Thanks.

After looking at the horse for quite a while...if you keep the silver rims...how about matching the maroon decals with the weights??  I am thinking that maroon and silver theme would be carried through out the horse.  :)   BTW...Red is not faster...unless you went to the University of Indiana.  :occasion-xmas:

Red is the color that I have seen; but your choice: I have also seen black weights. I have newer black plastic weights filled with cement with WH Logo that fit my 1974 B-80 that works! If it gets the job done, then who cares what it looks like! Done! Job accomplished!

Leave em and call it "patina"...

Less work, no chips and frankly - they are wheel weights...Think about that for a minute and weigh (pun intended) the need to paint them...

Black with silver or red wheel horse lettering... :twocents-mytwocents:

Black looks good with a weathered WH.

Well this was the colour combination I settled on, having highlighted the silver weights with red I then 'had' to do the the same for the red set  (highlighting in silver).   :teasing-tease:

I still think the red looks better, but the silver front rims, engine block and wheel horse logo just about let me get away with it.

Sorry but I just couldn't bring myself to go with black.  :hide: :shifty:

Actually Steve, it's known as Crimson.

The Cream and Crimson.........

You had to figure you'd get a rise out of me on that one........

You have to be a Hoosier to know the facts.
