Yeah, that Thor guy is a bit of a hoarder... that 418 was a flawless mower for me for 5 years, was looking a bit too long in the tooth so it came apart last summer for a refresh and ended up donating it's magnum to a horse with an eaton 11.. 2
c-series don 8,703 #30 Posted January 15, 2023 What are you doing with the rest of the tractor?
Thor27 767 #31 Posted January 15, 2023 (edited) It's going to go back together with a repower eventually. What stalled this here was I had swapped to a trans I had rebuilt and I missed something, it is stuck between hi and low. I'm sure it will be an easy fix, but instead I just rolled it into the back of the shop so I don;t have to look at it for a while. The magnum went onto a blackhood "ol' Roy" that is taking a COLOSSUS amount of time to go together too. Edited January 15, 2023 by Thor27 add 3 2

The pun and the tractor. Pop that transmission apart and let's have a look see at it. Is it stuck with the shifter in ONLY or does a huge screwdriver do the same thing about not moving the shift forks? 4 hours ago, CHuls said: Wow, beautiful. Welcome! It's the hi low range shifter. I thought it made sense to grab it off the shelf instead of cleaning and painting the one on it. Didn't notice a problem 'til after i put it together and put the pin in the shifter. It's a 20 footer at best.
WHX?? 48,815 #37 Posted January 15, 2023 High low shifter forks went south I bet. Don't force it and don't ask me how I know... Sure would like to have a M18 fall from the sky and on my Super C. Love that tire selection on the 418.

WHX?? 48,815 #42 Posted January 15, 2023 (edited) Can't be beat for a go to ag tire despite what they get for them these days. Same tire here... @Moparfanforever And here in 8.50 flavor on stock rims... Edited January 15, 2023 by WHX??

Having run them for several years now on several tractors I'd agree. Mine are fluid filled for extra weight and traction. Here's a zoomed pic from another thread here about 2-1/2 years ago. 1
