peigt14 19 #1 Posted January 5, 2017 My gt14 is going to be in need of a new set of rear tires soon, still running on the originals, 27x9.5-15 are hard to come by, 27x8.5-15 aren't much easier and tend to be quite expensive or a industrial type tire, I have come across a set of nearly new 27x10.5-15 turf tires anyone ever tried these? Scared they might be a little wide
FlatbedAndy 17 #2 Posted January 5, 2017 Mine had 27-8.50 -15 I think . Havn't seen the 10.50's , way too wide for the original rims

oldredrider 2,553 #5 Posted January 5, 2017 Might be a tad difficult to put those 12" tires on a 15" rim

Aldon 4,827 #7 Posted January 5, 2017 Turf tires by Carlisle or Skid Steer tires are currently closest option. Or a thin profile Ag tire from Stop and Go. Another option is to use 5 lug hubs from another Cseries or later that has 1 1/8 inch bores and use different rims. I am considering using D Series Hubs and the 12x12 rims with an AG tire. A rumor I heard at the Big show and reiterated a couple months later was that a smaller company had gotten the molds or designs or what have you and intended to start production of Ag tires that would fit the GT14, MTD990 and similar tractors. But I have seen not heard anything since.

peigt14 19 #10 Posted January 5, 2017 thanks for all the great info, figured the 10.5 might a little wide, I am in PEI Canada so even more difficult to get this sort of stuff around here, the originals are still holding air and doing the job but are cracked pretty bad in places, I found some on a website at a place called Pete's Tire Barn (27x8.5-15 turfs) but by the time I convert to American dollars and pay shipping the cost gets pretty prohibitive.

Aldon 4,827 #14 Posted January 7, 2017 The skid steer tire looks nice but some complain that it is too stiff and not as great a traction as one might expect.

Thor27 803 #16 Posted January 7, 2017 If it was me, I'd consider a hub/12" wheel swap and a set of 12 27-7.50 interco interforce
