TIGman 2,006 #1 Posted December 18, 2016 I made up the lift rod for the 46" snow/dozer blade, made up a counter weight for the back. Everything was working fine while I plowed out the neighbors driveway. Started on my drive and the bevel gear box started acting up. Good Ole Murphy got me again..... I better get the blade/chains on the 1054 and ready for the the next snow.

cleat 6,052 #3 Posted December 18, 2016 I once had an old Simplicity and it had a bevel gearbox between the engine and rear end. Mine never acted up but it had shuttle shift and that was touchy to get set up properly. Is that the one acting up on yours ? Good looking rig. Blade looks quite sturdy.
TIGman 2,006 #4 Posted December 19, 2016 Shift into 1st ,2cd,3rd and reverse is fine . Just the Bevel Gear Box acting up. I'll take it out and bring it down to the shop and fix it up. Nice and warm here. As I mentioned I'll get chains and 54" blade on the 1054 for snow plowing duty. Wheel Horse to the rescue !!!
