I'm looking at a snow blower, not sure the actual numbers but I wanted to get some opinions on if my 312-8 will run it or have any problems...

Yes that 12 hp Kohler won't have any issues running that thrower, but you will need the lift pole and flag also to install and lift it, not 100% sure it attaches to the 312 though looks to be for a way earlier model,Jeff.

The 312-8 would certainly be capable of running the blower.

I am not familiar with the mount on that blower, but it liiks like it would mount up to your front attach-a-matic OK.

You will need the lift rod and flag.

OOPS, I see Jeff types faster than me...at least we are on the same wave length.

The lift pole being the horizontal rod back to the manual lift for mower deck? And I havent seen it in person yet and I was under the impression it has the attach-o-matic set up on the blower (I have that on the 312-8 to match

Yes, that is the lift pole and the flag is the part that connects the pole to the lift shaft.

For 150.00 bucks I figured I'd haul the 312-8 over with me, and test it out, I mean not exactly sure what all he has with it, niether is he but the flag sounds like something I could probably fab? If not included? Pretty sure it has the lift pole? (Black tube in first picture) but like I said I'm assuming alot of stuff and have never messed with a snow blower before so any and all comments are very much appreciated

Definitely good price, just haven't seen that particular attac-a-matic linkage, I had/have the newer style,Jeff.

If you look closely at the 418A the thrower attachment arms are flat/straight/square all the way to the front attac-a-matic, the one you're looking at has the triangle pieces with the round bar, so yes if you can take your tractor please do to try it on first sorry I can't help you much more hopefully someone else will have more knowledge on this come along,Jeff.

I had an old blower like that one, but, like Jeff says that mounting attachment doesn't seem right. It's great if you can take your rig and test it.   Recently I had a blower similar on my 520 I got this summer, let me check in the for sale section, I sold it recently and put pictures in the ad, maybe I can move them here and will give us a clue.

OK, a few pictures, best I could do, good luck.

Those blowers had three different attaching kits.

I have had two of them.

The one has straight flat bars that bolts and pivots from two holes in the tractor frame.

Another one has a round rod that clips and pivots to the attach-a-matic.

Either of these would work with a 312-8.

The third one I am not familiar with, but I believe it was for the GT series tractors.   This could be the one you are looking at.  What tractor was it on before?

If it does not fit your 312, you may be able to remove the triangle pieces and bolt the flat bars directly to the frame if they are the correct width.

Good, If it fit a C, it should fit a 312.

Well guys, it hooked up OK, spins well, makes the front steering almost non existent when it's down and it has the lift rod, but the guy couldn't find the flag so eBay it is... Oh and the blower is a model: 63251, not in perfect condition but hey for the price why not right?

You may want to put a wanted ad in our classified section.    Where are you located in Pa.   Several members make the flags or have spares.

To help with sreering, I use #50 roller chains on the front tires to make a rib that bights into the snow and ice. Makes a huge difference in steering.

Hi All, I’m a member of the RedSquare Facebook group, some of you may have seen My tractor there. I have a 1992 312-8 with a 37 inch deck. It came with a house my brother bought, and was given to me. It needed work but just minor things. I mow my lawn with it, and I just bought a plow to push snow/dirt so it’s a working restoration. It was relatively well taken care of by the previous owners so it really just needed a refresh. Anyway see you around the site!

      Very Solid tractor!

Newer Agro Tires on Rear and Solid Front Turf Tires. Wheel Weights on rear. Fully Swapped Forward Swept axle off of 520h. I ran my 60" Deck on this tractor for over a year with no issues.
Deck it solid top to bottom with no rot and newer blades. Belt and Pulley are good to go!
She's just a little dusty and needs a cleaning. Can get a nice Seat a Tractor Supply.

      $1175 OBO   -POOS

      (248) 9for3-8six3four Text or Call. I do not visit this site enough. God Bless.

NEW SEAT INSTALLED ON THIS TRACTOR! Started it up and ran it for a while yesterday... Forgot how nice this thing is. Tempting to keep it but it's time to send her one her way. GREAT TRACTOR!

      Hello y'all,

I hope everyone is staying safe and staying healthy. If not, i pray that you or whoever is afflicted be healed soon.

I hope to learn a lot from the forums and hopefully can use some of you young whipper snappers for your brains (ideas, how to's and such). Lol. Btw i am only 30, much respect for the older generation(s)!

For me, well... If i would have found this 5-6 years ago, i would have said I am new to Wheel Horse. That is about the time my dad bought the 312-8 (that i now own). That purchase and talking to my dad about implements/attachments that i could purchase is what got me so interested in wheel horse.

Like i mentioned, i started with a 312-8. When i purchased from my dad, it came with a mower pan and a snowblower (wrong model tho). Wisconsin winters were brutal and a regular snowblower was taking me 2+ hours to clear the driveway. Thats when i bought my B-100, included in that deal was a mower pan and a plow. Boy... that B-100 has plowed a lot of snow. I love it.

I had also bought 2 lack luster tillers at some auctions. Well, that made me look for a tiller attachment. Found one relatively close and went to go look. $200 later, i had a tiller loaded into my truck and i had asked if he had the tillers mount for the rear axle. He said he wasnt sure, but he has a wheel horse sitting in the back. Told me to go look.

I look over this 854, and there is no rear mount. Just as im getting up, he asks if i want the tractor. I said i only got the $200 i gave you. He said free of charge. And thats how i gained my 854. (854s hood is in my shop)

I want to start restoring my wheel horses, pretty paint, new decals, clean them up. I am proud of what i own.

And now im looking at getting a D200 with FEL and a backhoe. Its a sketch time to buy but i could use the tractor for house and cabin work.

Pics are attached. Please ignore the messes. They aint the prettiest tractors, but they all run.

Been a long time since I posted. Hope everyone is doing well.
I work doing HVAC In a medical center and have been working quite a bit.
Anyway my son and I made a run to the local salvage yard today to cleanup all the scrap steel that’s been laying around. My wife was happy to see us finally getting some money for our junk instead of paying to get rid of it. Well..... it cost us $20 but we got another horse.
      let’s see how this goes.
      312-8 with SD deck.
