GlenPettit 1,716 #1 Posted December 17, 2016 (edited) Hope to have some of these made for the Big Show next June in PA, actual size is about 3" tall ––– this is a video on the detail involved in programming a CNC with Vector Art to control the printer, and then the last part is actually building-forming the "Mother" original cookie cutter in wire plastic. I hope to mold and cast some in my epoxy-resin and to keep the cost down to $10-12 @, have to make lots of test before marketing. The first original part can get expensive to draw/program/make, but way too hard to create-carve by hand, probably nearly impossible without CNC.. neil 2,409 #8 Posted December 17, 2016 Book me in for a few cookie moulds Glenn , do you plan to do extra large moulds too?
GlenPettit 1,716 #9 Posted December 17, 2016 Actual size of the cut cookie will be 3" wide and 4.5" tall, and designed for a 1/4" thick cookie. Weight of the cutter will be just over 1oz. Will start working on it next month. The second 'edition' of the cutter which I will be using is slightly larger than the one in the video and has more detail (eye, chin & lugs going the correct way). Wheel Horse 3D 3,795 #16 Posted October 17, 2022 Nice thing about 3d printing... ya can make just one! Lol actually an inversion of the existing steering wheel inserts may work? Would be kinda a stamped design. Could also just do the head and wheel outline with the hub stamped in a bit. 1

Wheel Horse 3D 3,795 #20 Posted October 18, 2022 Going on the printer this evening.... Does anyone remeber getting a hold if a salt dough ornament and thinking it was a cookie!????? A little toothpick action after pressing and i think salt dough wheelhorse ornaments would be a snap.
Wheel Horse 3D 3,795 #21 Posted October 18, 2022 Or you could just order a lot of keychains!!! Lol
8ntruck 7,006 #22 Posted October 18, 2022 @Wheel Horse 3D You probably ought to put some vents in that to make it easier to get the cookie out of the cutter.
Wheel Horse 3D 3,795 #23 Posted October 19, 2022 Had thought of that. Gonna see how it does first and where the best spots for vents will be. With a flour dusting we'll see where the sticky spots are.
WHX?? 48,816 #24 Posted October 19, 2022 I'll just epoxy the dough down to the table... Flip the layout so the horse faces the proper left? 1
