XI Snow Blade Lift Link Part Number

Recommended Posts

bmsgaffer

There are two part numbers listed for the XI lift link. One is about $40 from toro and the other is about $60 and has a two week backorder.

One is solid and one is floating, anyone have any idea which is which? Both are listed for item 2.

94–7793–03 1 Link–Lift
94–7987–03 1 Link–Lift

Thanks everyone!

@bmsgaffer, I can't tell you which part # it is but the one that came with the Dxi had the floating link, but by reasoning the floating link would cost more because there is more labor/machining involved in making it vs the solid link just my :twocents-02cents:,Jeff.

It's really hard to tell - both parts are stamped but the solid one has an extra operation with the form. It depends on whether you want the blade to float or have down pressure.

@bmsgaffer,Here maybe this will help make you one a lil cheaper...3/8" thick flat bar by 1.5" wide by 8.5" long...7" from slot end to pin hole end...7/16" wide slot by 2.5" ...pin holes are slip fit 3/8" diameter...near end slot to first pin hole 4"...pin holes 3/4" on center...good luck Jeff.

The  94–7987–03 is the solid link and more expensive. It is a formed piece (as in the drawing) which is why the cost is higher. The floating link is more useful.

I realized that I never got to thank you all for your help.

Also, Jeff: That second (lower) hole in the lift link was not factory but I think it was added to get a bit extra lift on the blade and it is a worthy addition!

@wheelhorseman1000 Lowell now carries the floating link with the stock upper hole, but I have tagged him here to consider adding the second hole for more lift.
