Rod do you mean the throttle shaft? :P

If so I don't know as much about the tecumsehs as say the Kohlers.

But with the Kohlers you can drill the carb & install new bushings to take the slop out & prevent the air leaks.

This would be better answered by a tucky expert....Bill? :D

Rod,

If the Tecumsehs throttle shaft is worn you can get a replacement throttle shaft. This fix unfortunatly does not repair the worn carburetor shaft bore :D , there is how ever a seal that can also go underneth the throttle arm on top to keep air from getting sucked in :P

Rod,

Did you ever get parts at THOMAN SUPPLY in Lewistown? (They handle Kohler, Tecumseh, Briggs, etc.) Here's there number: (717) 248-5422

I get my parts through Milesburg Auto & Electric, and they come from Thoman.

They should be able to get whatever you need -- as long as it's not obsolete/NLA.
