Sure looks like it’s the second picture. Mine is in the tractor so I can’t see all around it but the filler pipe is exactly as in your picture as well as the bolt pattern and pulley location. So where the heck is the tow valve?

IF  (big if) it really is a piston to piston hydro (which means there was a big modification sometime in your GT14's life the tow valve would be the circled item.   You really should take a picture of the left side of the transaxle  so we can be sure what you have (Aim for the area circled in second picture)

Ok so I took a few pictures and I’m pretty sure it’s the second one in the pics you sent. I believe you said piston to piston?  First pic is looking up and toward the rear. Shows what I’m thinking is the tow valve. It’s got a square end. Second pic is just a better picture  3E0C9419-7263-41AE-A437-CE17E71F675F.jpeg.b4893a939ab561c77f107eb4216c8755.jpeg92FE272C-CB5D-4948-A282-FDD1743B4B3A.jpeg.077e95562d506da777d29d8158d18d28.jpeg1DD6FCA6-2D21-4AAA-A9F1-5B3F3A886960.jpeg.d7e71fcc3f30e7300302e62e88ae3e82.jpeg

Used the old Horse to spread fertilizer and crabgrass suppressor before the rain. He’s got a little knock until warmed up. Once warmed up it disappears. Started working on the mower deck this afternoon. It had a couple poorly repaired cracks in one side of the mounting frame and it was bent out pretty badly. Managed to cut the braze out and get it pretty straight before welding. Considering welding in a reinforcement to keep it from moving again. 4CBD060C-D056-42D7-9984-8871410F8052.jpeg.b2fcc46ba2901ca2330b1c000771835a.jpeg

The hyd power source of your GT-14 isn't original.  A p.o. switched to a Sundstrand Pistoin-to-piston unit.

Anyway, this is the tow valve..

Thanks again. I’m glad to know where it is even though I hope to never have to use it.
