Sarge 3,464 #58 Posted January 9, 2017 Using Firefox , I can just click a link in another tab , select "copy" , come back here and use "Ctrl+V" (paste shortcut on nearly all pc's ) and directly insert the link into the text . There is also a little link attachment button at the top of the reply window pane - just paste the link in the pop-up window and it will insert it into your text box . You make things like 'replaced wiring', "replaced bearings in tranny" and such seem like such simple, and trivial tasks, when we all know they take lots of time to do properly. Maybe when I retire in 20+ years, I'll be able to have mine looking this good. There's a little more to these "newer" horses than the older ones I'm used to working on but I enjoyed this refurb. dclarke 4,046 #66 Posted January 12, 2017 I had forgotten that the throttle lever was loose and wouldn't hold the engine at a steady rpm so I replaced the rivet that holds it together with a fine threaded bolt and lock nut and have got that tightened down, now it holds at a steady rpm. I've also discovered that my volt meter is bad so I'm gonna need to find a replacement for that. I finished up putting the decals on and also decided to spray a clear coat over the Argent silver paint on the rims, what a difference that made. dclarke 4,046 #69 Posted January 26, 2017 With the warmer temps the past several days I've had a chance to warm the engine up a few times and today I checked the torque on the head bolts, I've also replaced the bad volt meter and got the foot pedal linkage adjusted properly, the more I drive this thing, the more I like it. Jim, I've got a couple grandsons that'll be 2 and 4 this year and a nice tub cart in the shed. I'm sure we'll be cruising around once the weather warms up.....
