Ed Kennell 40,472 #26 Posted December 2, 2016 I just read Richards #26 Carters rebuild. Handy Man is just not the appropriate title Stormin. I dub him King Richard.
Coadster32 793 #27 Posted December 5, 2016 FWIT...I was working on an tecumseh carb, and decided to take a stab at a new china carb, ($12.50 delivered...how can I not tryi it). Looked great, but the motor wouldn't run with it. I cleaned and rebuild the original carb...and perfect again. The jet sizes in the china carb weren't the same as in the oem carb, (this was a fixed jet carb). At least I was able to use the new bowl gasket from the china carb. Most of the old carbs just need a good cleaning, unless there's obvious physical damage. Plus, you get to learn something.
