Jim, I meant the 60" deck on the Dxi for mowing the biggest part of the property then the 48" deck on this one for trimming, but hey you never know,Jeff.

Jeff...You are the 520 guy :handgestures-thumbupright: another good score ! Can't wait to get mine up and running . With this mornings temps at 25 degrees that white stuff isn't to far away  . Let's hope your Dxi works with a new pump . Those are good engines , Allis Chalmers , Simplicity , Massey Ferguson all used that diesel (you probably already know that) with great success . An AC5020 fwd is one of my bucket lists tractors.

Congratulations on the find and successful negotiations. A long drive, but well worth it for that tractor!   :handgestures-thumbupright:

Thanks guys and yes frost on several occasions lately, so now it's time to invest in a real horse barn for the ever growing herd come spring.

That is a great find! I have a little over 14 months of seat time on my wife's Dxi and I love it. It has the 60" deck with Gator blades and the super awesome 45" two stage monster blower.  I think the xi series was one of the most invisible and underrated of all wheel horse tractor lines and that is good for Any of us wanting to buy one today! Based on my experience, I wouldn't hesitate to suggest one for regular hard working duty.  Keep us posted...

It's kinda funny back in '98 when I bought the 520H Anniversary my dealer had just gotten his first shipment of xi's in and I was looking at those too, but at the time he suggested I get the classic for a couple reasons 1)price/discount 2)availability of used implements 3) tried and true reliability, instead of just making a sale of new tractor and implements he was trying to help me save some $ and keep in my budget at the time, maybe I should've bought an xi back then but I've been pleased with my 520H since new, and I guess if had $5900 I know where that N.O.S. 522xi with 12 demonstrator hours is still sitting waiting for a home,Jeff.

Well today I got it off the trailer and got about half hour of seat time mowing the wild onion tops off and mulching some leaves, very quite compared to the ONANS but still tractor like, seems like a little tighter turning radius than the 520Hs even without power assisted steering still easy enough even with that 60" deck, now 18+ years of column/handle shifts that foot pedal is a bit odd to me but doable (learning curve) all in all I'm pretty happy with it and more eager to get that diesel running,Jeff.

This evening I mulched up leaves and clipped the tops off more wild onions on about an acre, I believe the hydro linkage needs adjusted its a bit "jerky" and to me doesn't reach "top" speed forward, and gas gauge is about 50/50 works but not accurate, battery light stays on, and oil temp gauge didn't seem to move after 45 minutes to an hour, all minor issues I suppose, this one mows in reverse without a key switch under the seat, cruise control works and that 60" deck does shorten up time spent vs my other 48" decks,Jeff.

The battery light stays on, on mine too. Still charges. I haven't had to put a charger on it in the 2.5 years I've had it. It does turn off after a long period of use.... Not sure why.

My battery charge light also stays on.  Like Fatboy, mine still charges.  I have been looking high and low for the OEM who made this sensor without success.  Toro price is ridiculous for the replacement.  Just take out the bulb.

I wonder if it's from using a lower Amperage rating than factory spec, like 280CCA which is in my 520xi vs the 350CCA I run on the Onan powered 520H's? ,Jeff.

Looking for clevis hitch, rock shaft and cables to fit a 1990, 312H

I read the post by @Foxer14 regarding the out-of-line price set by his grandfather that wanted to sell his C175. I can relate to his frustration when it comes to WH Tractors and the over-the-top demands set by family relatives. You can pick your friends, but not your relatives...🤷‍♂️
Disclaimer: The names have been changed to protect the guilty and this really happened as I am telling it.

Back in 1990 my father in law bought a used D250 that had a 60 inch deck and an Ark FEL for $2800 from a local WH Dealer. The previous owner bought it new and had it for 2 years and then died; his widow sold it back to the Dealer. My father in law had it for 2 years, had a stroke and died shortly thereafter (notice a pattern here??) I am sure that every family has a relative that is legendary for their history of extraordinary frugality (aka cheapness). After the burial my brother in law "Bob" expresses his interest to buy the D250 from my mother in law for what they paid for it - the issue was getting it from RI to OK.

Bob worked for a major airline and could have it shipped to Tulsa for free, but it would have to be drained of all fluids and crated and dropped off at the local airport. He kicked at the cost of the skid and crating and asked me if I could build the skid and crate in the back of my 4 cylinder Ranger and drop it off. I refused and told him I could crate it if he bought the materials but needed to hire a Freight Carrier to deliver it to the airport. He then realized he had no way to get it home when it arrived - he did not want to pay a Carrier to deliver it to his house.
My sister in law, "Cindy" his wife, calls to demand that I help him get it home. At the time, I had just gotten a promotion and had 10 days of Vacation Time available. They wanted ME to load it in my Ranger and DRIVE it to Oklahoma with their "generous" offer of $50 per day for lodging & meals and "X" per loaded mile gas money - and less than "X" for the return trip - I flat out refused.
I gave them MY suggestion - He should fly here (he could do so for free) and HE should rent a one way small box Van. We would load it up and "hot shoe" it across the country, one drives, the other sleeps, no Hotel rooms, and I would help him to unload it and I wanted him to put me on the next plane to RI at his expense. He said absolutely not, forget the whole deal, let Mom sell the tractor.

Mom did sell the tractor to the next door neighbor for $2800 - he had it for 2 years..... then he died.

I do not know what ever became of the tractor BUT I have had people tell me that with the history of it I should have made sure my Brother in law got it !!!
True but sad, sad but true...

Nice 520H with 60 inch deck, 44 inch snowblower, winter cab, 42 inch blade although the tractor has the brackets on the back axle the blade doesn't have the extension. Also have the deflector for the mower discharge and a set of tire chains that may fit the tractor. 735 hours. Please text for more pictures

Hey guys, kinda gotta brag about this one. Got my sleeve hitch out of Alabama today for $100! Got part # 85518 from you guys,( thank you very much) got lucky and found it on ebay. Took a chance and ponied up the $100 with only a picture of the box. It's dated '93 so sure it's right for my 520h  and wouldn't you know, everything's there! Couldn't have done it without the wonderful members of this forum. Thanks Terry. Just what I need for my brinly plow, disk, tater plow, and backblade!
