Sparky-(Admin) 21,547 #4 Posted November 4, 2016 If you mount the 10.5 tire on the standard width rim (7" or 7.5") it will be a bit taller than 10.5....might be close to the fender. The WH factory only mounted 10.5 rubber on the wider rims (8.5"), those rims came on the 520's and the GT-1800's (I think there was another model but I cant remember). doc724 925 #13 Posted November 6, 2016 Just be aware that not all tires with the same specs are actually the same size. Kenda tires run wide. Deestone tires are smaller in diameter than the specs. Dico's and Titans are what WH used as OEM tires. Carlisles are probably the best but they come at a price. Duramax7man7 506 #14 Posted November 6, 2016 I just slapped some 23 x 10.5 x 12 @ 6ply lugs on my newly painted rims and WOW, that was a B! Needless to say I put the tires on from the back to save the front of the rim. Had to sand and paint a bit of the edge of the rim afterward though. ha ha. Looks good now. though. Also keep in mind that bigger or smaller overall diameter of the tire will either increase or decrease your speed by a little.
