My question is other than a one bottom plow what else do i need as far as parts and attachements to get me plowing. Also which tractor would be better to plow with, and could you even plow with a wheel a matic You will need a / Brinly plow made for the slot hitch on your Horse, a slot to Brinly hitch adapter, or a Brinly hitch to replace your slot hitch. The lift cable must work for your hitch. Ag tires are a must, chains will work too but ags are the best. Wheel weights and/or fill the rear tires with fluid. Some add weight to the front also, depends on how light it wants to get. As long as your hydro is strong it will work fine for plowing, many people plow with a hydro. I prefer a standard transmission my self for ground engaging tools. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,496 #3 Posted October 18, 2016 The Lawn Ranger may not be a good choice as it's smaller tires will have a lot of trouble in the furrows. Also, it may be a bit light in weight to plow with. The 875 would be the better choice, though it will struggle some with the 8 hp if following a larger GT that is plowing a bit deeper. For instance, I wouldn't want to be following a JD 430 with a 12 inch plow as it will leave a deep furrow and if you're the tractor behind it, your right tires will be very deep into his furrow and you may have a lot of problems with traction, bottoming out, etc. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Achto 27,502 #4 Posted October 18, 2016 Sorry I missed that one was a 64 Lawn Ranger, I would not suggest that one either. These are the two types of Brinly hitches that I was describing for you tractor. Either one of these hitches will allow you to attach most Brinly brand name implements to your tractor. Brinly also made a plow for , if you find one of these it will be made to slide into the slot hitch on your tractor. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
