Shuboxlover 478 #1 Posted October 12, 2016 I know someone that has a 74 B-80 with a bad 4 speed transmission. My question is would an 8 speed from a C-81 bolt right in? Bert 760 #2 Posted October 12, 2016 It should be a near direct fit, I swapped the 4 speed on my Dads 73 8 4 speed with a newer 8 speed. Your right about the shift plate. On his I needed the hubs and rims from the newer tractor but on a positive note the brake linkage fit with no mods 3 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
