Honest Bob 19 #1 Posted October 12, 2016 After a rather warm welcome I figured I better start a thread here. A little back story, my brother in law picked this tractor up in trade for some mechanical work and it fell into my hands because I am a huge fan of well made items of years gone by. Its got a home made thing on the front holding what I believe to be a bigger battery and some sort of pulley setup for lifting a plow. A home made plow and some sort of pull behind attachment are part of the deal but havent been picked up yet. Pics from when I got it home. Today before a good pressure washing in better light. After the pressure washing. odd cotter pin placement... A little bit of a leak that looks to have been previously *fixed*. A video of it running.

953 nut 56,157 #3 Posted October 12, 2016 Seems to have been subjected to a bit of shade-tree engineering, but that is now a pat of its DNA, looks solid; I like it!

Honest Bob 19 #5 Posted October 15, 2016 (edited) I started tearing things apart. Yay I can open the hood now. Looks like I'll have to source a battery tray as I want to put the battery back inside the engine bay. Anyone know what tractors share the same parts? These pictures are for putting it back together. Honest Bob 19 #6 Posted October 17, 2016 A little progress today. My brother in law welded up the seat for me. Then it was time to flatten out the rear end. I figured I would be best off using something softer to bend it back into shape so I cut some scrap 2x4 to 11" and clamped it on there goodntight. It worked better than I thought it would. Still had some more straightening to do. I grabbed a longer piece of 2x4 and a body hammer. Good enough for the girls I go out with. This piece was bent as well. Nothing a 2x4 couldn't fix.
Honest Bob 19 #7 Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) Today I tackled the fuel shutoff leak, it was beyond simple to fix. I removed the crusty broken o ring that is in the thumb wheel. and replaced it with a 5mm id x 9mm od x 2mm w o ring I had. I feel like its not the correct size but its working for now. also took pictures of the identification plates. Is there some sort of registry around? Tomorrow i'm going to attempt to mow the lawn with the wheel horse for the first time. Edited October 22, 2016 by Honest Bob
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,133 #8 Posted October 24, 2016 There is not a serial number registry as per say but the numbers have been added. Thanks for posting them. Garry
Honest Bob 19 #9 Posted October 28, 2016 Thanks Garry! I think I have located the appropriate snow blower on craigslist. Gonna take a look at it on Saturday!
