Devron30 22 #1 Posted October 10, 2016 (edited) I am using my c100 for plowing and other jobs and need to weight down the front end. Does anyone know of a bracket for suitcase weights or anything else I can use. Thank you. Edited October 10, 2016 by Devron30
KC9KAS 4,741 #2 Posted October 10, 2016 I don't think WH actually made a bracket, but many people custom make their own. Did you do a search for "front weight bracket" here?

wallfish 16,983 #6 Posted October 11, 2016 How about filling the front tires with RV antifreeze and adding wheel weights.

wallfish 16,983 #10 Posted October 11, 2016 Original front rims for a C101 are 8" so you'll need weights to fit those. Other brands will fit too but some are are too deep in the center and will hit the spindle so keep that in mind. This is the only pic I could find of mine. They are Bolens weights on the loader tractor.
JERSEYHAWG / Glenn 4,497 #11 Posted October 11, 2016 Look in the for sale section here. A member had a set of front weights I think. They weren't wheel horse, but they would fit. You might catch them still listed way way near the end. Good luck. Glenn
Tim 97 #12 Posted October 12, 2016 (edited) Google "Noma wheel weights $50 plus shipping" I bought two sets Good news they are the cheapest you will find Bad news you have to drill new holes that line up to holes of wheels so you can bolt on. I had a WH weight set to line up the new holes made it very easy Edited October 12, 2016 by Tim

I need to find me some of those 😀 The weights are actually a "JD" product approximately 42-3 lbs each not certain may be sold at Home Depot also and here's the plans (for the 3/4/500 series might have to adjust as necessary to fit the c101 if it's a black hood as did for Craig) if you are willing to fab one up or have it made since I moved departments at work and no longer have access to make them,Jeff.

bds1984 1,429 #20 Posted October 14, 2016 I had some 25 pound plate weights from an old weight set that I drilled two holes in them to mount them as my front weights on the front rims of my 520 plow tractor. I'd use a suitcase setup but I have a stabilizing rod taking up the front quick attach to keep the plow stable.
Tankman 3,518 #21 Posted October 15, 2016 (edited) After my first plow job, turning the earth, made a front bumper and added weights. A must! Not a great pic, sorry. My oldest son, 30 years ago Edited October 15, 2016 by Tankman
Devron30 22 #22 Posted October 20, 2016 I need to find someone who makes some kind of front weight system for my c100 because I am no fabricater and wouldn't even know where to start.
WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #23 Posted October 22, 2016 Is there a metal fab or machine shop nearby you? If so copy/print my plans and take them there, not sure but may be selling 1 more of mine, and I want you to know that these are only for ballast when using rear/clevis hitch mounted implements, the snow plows won't raise with these type of weights hanging off the front but then there's the rare WH version,Jeff.
