shallowwatersailor 3,214 #26 Posted October 11, 2016 The pulling vehicle makes a difference too. It is a lot easier to tow with my extended cab pickup than my Jeep CJ that I had years ago.

I think if I ever upgrade to a bigger trailer I will order (or build) one with a drop down side gate as well...way to handy to have on there
fast88pu 3,325 #29 Posted October 14, 2016 It is on too much of an angle to load a tractor with a deck up on it
truckin88 104 #30 Posted October 28, 2016 i have had a few, I would say at least 6.5 wide (which most 6' are) so that you are not limited and 10 or 12 feet long. I had luck with the tractor supply for cheapies, but good dealer trailers show quality. I had a cross country that was awesome. If I needed one. It would be a suretrac or PJ. I found that even between my father and I I wasn't using it enough to warrant it hanging around. so for $40 bucks I rent a uhaul which is its own obstacles but works for me. T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,564 #31 Posted October 28, 2016 Here's my 6.5 x 12 trailer on it's latest trip to a tractor show a couple of weeks ago. Pulls nicely and got 3 tractors on it easy. Had room for a fourth if needed.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,398 #32 Posted October 29, 2016 Here is my PJ Trailer I bought last year. It is 7x14 and single axle. Biggest I could find or want to go without second axle.

You probably don't even need the tuner, my old 2000 1500 with 4.8L 5spd tugged my street rod up 9% mountains, and my '14 5.3L runs rings around that truck,Jeff.
squonk 42,525 #37 Posted October 29, 2016 That 2nd pic should have a JD at the end of the dumper!
maxiblue 352 #38 Posted October 29, 2016 I have a 6foot X 10foot to haul just one wheel horse D-250. This is my cheap trailer. Its just big enough for one tractor with 6 inches to spare.
