98layinframe 22 #1 Posted September 30, 2016 I welded up a homemade 2" box tube receiver style hitch last night and so need to drill the mounting / clamping holes tonight and install it on the tractor. Need some help on the bolt sizing and where to drill the holes to clamp it on the axle housing! I'd like to later replace the lower clamping bars with a standard plow bracket, so knowing where to locate the holes on my hitch now would be helpful! Just need the side to side width of the bolt spacing, and the front to back (around the axle) spacing for reference. I don't have my plow down at the house with me now, other wise id probably just make the plow brackets now to. So can anyone offer up some bolt location measurements? This is for an 80's 414-8 so its the smaller attachment I believe? ooh and assume their 3/8" bolts? Pic of the hitch. Came out pretty nice for a quick 2 hour project.
stevasaurus 22,706 #2 Posted September 30, 2016 They are 3/8" bolts. My bracket measures (center to center) 12 3/8" and 2 3/4"
