Kieran klein 0 #1 Posted September 27, 2016 Hey guys first time poster and I have a deck problem. Usually I can fix this 1971 raider 12 but now the deck is the issue. The center pulley is completely worn out. The spindle has 2 flat sidesign on the arbor. I don't know what kind do of bore this is called or what part number this is. If anyone can help that would be fantastic! Thanks Kieran Deck numbers

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,032 #3 Posted September 28, 2016 Here is a parts list if the spindles are original to the deck. This file shows the replacement spindle assemblies and their parts that were used over the years. Garry
Aldon 4,826 #4 Posted September 28, 2016 (edited) Kieran, Looks like your located fairly close to my old stomping grounds. I went to School in Christiansburg. Its hard to see in the pic but inthinknyour indicating that the Double D flats inside the bore of pulley have worn round. As such, you may need more than a new pulley. You may hve to rebuild the spindle and replace bearings. I have a set of refurbished pulleys. The Double D flats are not mint but pretty decent. PM me if you decide your interested. i have everything cleaned up except bearings. Pulleys, Housing and Spindle Shafts. ohiofarmer 3,265 #6 Posted September 28, 2016 I am on the search for a DD for the center. The belt broke and wrapped the pulley and the bottom part of the double center cast iron pulley shattered. If i cannot find one, I would consider grafting a bored out steel pulley to what is left of the original.
