oldredone 2 #1 Posted September 21, 2016 (edited) So I was crusing down the lawn yesterday when I saw this shiny piece of metal in the grass.. Coming up on it i could see it looked like a small metal wheel. i went to put my foot on the brake to stop and check it out and petal to the floor! thankfully I got the tractor stopped but quickly found out this was my brake drum which had snuck out sometime earlier in the cut. It's from a 1986 414-8. Does anyone know the size / type of bolt and washer that hold this thing into the tranny? thanks all!!! Pullstart 63,262 #5 Posted September 22, 2016 I'm thinking this would be a 3/8-16 bolt, not sure of length but probably 1.5 - 2"

oldredone 2 #7 Posted September 23, 2016 Update! Thanks to all for their help. Dave, I took a close look and attached some pics, the drum, when dry fitted, sizes up tight to threaded "axle" so to speak. No play whatsoever when the wheel is held tight. My local toro dealer got me hooked up with an appropriate washer and I found a bolt that worked. Pullstart, right on, 3/8" 16. Now I just have to snug it up when I get home and dial in the brake. Thanks again everyone!
