cdr_warsstar 106 #1 Posted September 21, 2016 So at the house I got the 1973 12 HP Auto and a Poulon from, I found this buried in a corner. I went and got it today. It appears to be complete and in decent shape. The rear tire looks to still hold air, and the engine appears to be free, but we'll find out more this weekend. The things that do need attention so far is the drive chain and the steering chain, which are both locked up. When I was looking these up, it appears that the company was started in Indianapolis and began making roto-tillers. And apparently only 500 of this type of tractor were made. So parts might be somewhat scarce. But it seems like most parts could be fabricated fairly easily. And the engine is a Briggs & Stratton, so parts for it might be easier to come by. Or just engine swap it. More pictures will come as I clean it up and get it figured out. I'm a little upset that this guy didn't have the snowplow attachment. But it shouldn't be too hard to make myself.

I picked up a 4 wheel McLean this past spring. With no decals on mine it took some searching to figure out what I was even buying. I plan on starting the restore on mine real soon. With very limited parts available I will be spending a lot of time in the machine & fab shop. Engine on mine is a solid brick, ?years with no spark plug killed the poor lil K91. Here's a pic of mine, resting/rusting where I found it. Good luck with yours! I'd try to keep it as original as possible, you don't find these things very often. Keep us posted on your progress. Mike'sHorseBarn 3,049 #4 Posted September 21, 2016 That's one of the neatest looking little tractors I've ever seen!
cdr_warsstar 106 #5 Posted September 21, 2016 That's a nice find too achto! I'll definitely keep you guys posted. Like I said, first things done will be cleaning it and seeing if the engine will run. Then I can see what parts will need replaced, and start thinking about getting it torn apart for new paint. Looks like it was originally green, but we'll see. It'll be a nice winter project.
cdr_warsstar 106 #6 Posted October 1, 2016 Haven't really done much yet. I aired up the rear tire and got it moved to the backyard. The tire holds air, so that's good. I've started soaking everything with penetrating oil. Since I'm going to Italy for a week in a week, I don't have time for more than that. But when I get back hopefully I'll be able to see if the engine runs.
