rexman72 210 #1 Posted September 18, 2016 what do you guys recommend for a pulley for my loader pump.I tried a pulley with a set screw which was to big for the shaft where the keyway goes into the hole. The keyway hole is 1/16.so I am trying to find a pulley with the keyway that will fit on the shaft?any thoughts? benji756 341 #2 Posted September 18, 2016 if you can't find a pulley with the right keyway you can have the right size keyway broached in the pulley or make a step key that fits, I have done both.

daveoman1966 3,762 #4 Posted September 19, 2016 I have a box of generic pulleys with keyways in my shop. Questions: Outside diameter? Shaft size ? Find me at this email address: daveoman@windstream.net
benji756 341 #5 Posted September 20, 2016 yes I have access to some machining equipment at work so I have made step keys before, if I need a keyway broached I take it to the tool room and have it done.
