Guest fireman #2 Posted December 30, 2008 I checked out the website for the possibility of going. Looks to me like the show on Jan. 17th. is just a "Gas Engine Display". The show in July is listed as a "Antique Gas Engine & Tractor Show". :hide:
Buzz 502 #3 Posted December 30, 2008 I've been to their spring, summer, and fall shows but never their winter. There are more engines than garden tractors but they welcome all of us. I think that the photographer is biased toward the hit & miss engines because i've been to shows there where there were a lot of garden tractors and only a few were photographed. If you get the chance, go to either the summer or fall show. The spring show is basically a flea market with a lot of tractors and parts for sale
formariz 11,988 #4 Posted December 30, 2008 Can one just show up? No prior registration or something like it? How about riding around on the tractors? Cas
Buzz 502 #5 Posted December 31, 2008 just show up and find a place to set up. No charge. You can ride all around including in the flea market. Now the snow show doesn't have many people but the other shows are mobbed. Usually if I just throw one in the back of the truck I park in the parking lot, unload there and drive over to the show. Won't have that problem this show.. Check out the pictures of some of the other shows.
Buzz 502 #6 Posted January 13, 2009 Well a rare case of common sense kicked in and I decided not to go to this show. There are three main reasons I changed my mind: 1/ It's a three hour ride .........each way 2/ It snowed up there and it's unlikely to melt before Saturday. 3/ Accuweather predicts a high of 24 deg. that will feel like 10 deg. I always disliked having to work outside in bitter cold weather, darned if I'm going to stand around in it if I don't have to. I think I'll sleep in instead. I was looking forward to it though........
