Hey all, I have found a wheel horse 416-8 for sale. I was wondering what you all could tell me about them in general. I am mainly looking to turn this into a pulling tractor, would this be a good one to do so with? If not, what would you recommend?  Also could you tell me what you know about the engine, it has a Koehler 341S one cylinder engine. Many thanks!!!!!

in my opinion that is one of the best wheelhorses ever made,single 16 horse kohler,and the stout 400 series tractor with the 8 pinion 1 1/8 axles,it would make a great puller

Having the K-341 in it, makes it a 1985 or 1986.  Starting in 1987 the 416-8 had a Kohler M16S Magnum in them, as does my 1988 416-8.  The mid to late 80s Wheel Horses were considered the maroon striped Wheel Horses due to the maroon decal striping on the hood.

      Hi Red Square Community,
       
      I am looking into purchasing the below pictured "POND" Walk Away. The unit itself has the cast in “POND” on the chain reduction housing. The two main things I am looking to learn are what value is typical for these to sell for. This one has a Briggs & Stratton model “N” engine. It runs and drives, but the throttle linkage needs some adjusting. It comes with a cultivator and plow implement. 
       
      Secondly, I was wondering if there is any way to determine what year specifically this Pond is from. The seller believes late 1940s and not 1950s. I am new to these machines, so I am looking for some guidance. Thank you in advance!

The worst I could say is it’s out of my price or distance range. Edit: engine is not important, it’s going to get an engine swap.

      Wheel Horse 416-8 with Onan p216

      Afternoon gentlemen friend of mine's father passed after a long illness, and he is now the owner of his Wheel Horse 416-8 with the Onan P216.  He wants to sell it to me as he has other tractors. I never owned and Onan Machine what advice can you give me. It has been in storage for 5 years and of course according to him "ran when parked" Has 365 hours on it. Thanks in advance going to look at it this Wednesday.
