wallfish 17,085 #3 Posted August 16, 2016 yup, tires are 6-12. Probably best to post a wanted ad on here for one or two used tires. Hold on to your shorts if you check the price on Epay for a new one of those. There were a couple different manufacturers for those so check the other one. General, Goodrich ect. Post some pics of your tractor if you want to know the model and year of it.
pfrederi 17,911 #4 Posted August 16, 2016 6.00 12s are great winter tires with chains. All my snow horses use them.
Team70R 157 #5 Posted August 16, 2016 thanks guys! I will post a pic tonight, still trying to determine the model. Has a 3 speed and a 6 horse Tecumseh with electric start. Definitely 60's
WHX?? 49,196 #6 Posted August 16, 2016 A few suppliers here but like John said hang on to yer shorts.... Miller tire has that tread pattern but hold them real tight http://www.millertire.com/categories/lawn-garden-tires/6-12/ maybe you can offset the cost by selling yer old ones to 'fish @wallfish for his horse scooter... pfrederi 17,911 #7 Posted August 16, 2016 (edited) Years ago you used to see tire dealer ads in the paper for four tires mounted and balanced for $100, but with an asterisk. The price only applied to 155SR 12. (that is radial equivalent for 6.00x12) Bought 4 four for my 1981 Honda Civic cheapest tires i ever bought. Still have the tire chains for that size and they are on my winter horse. Edited August 16, 2016 by pfrederi

Ha, real funny Jim, but I still need those rounded diamond treads from you for my horse scooter. No more square tires!
