vmen84 61 #1 Posted July 31, 2016 I picked up a wheelhorse b 100 today from a fellow red Square member wildside the tractors absolutely everything that I've been looking for and could ask for I'll get to that in a minute. I feel it's more important to give wild side a proper thank you for helping me out not just with questions I had but explaining to me in detail everything about wheel horse tractors and helping me out in anyway that he could. I don't mention my mobility issues a lot if any at all although if You were to meet me in person you can tell that I have them but this isn't me pointing that out I mentioned it because I went to look at the tractor the first time and he took an hour about 20 minutes to give a complete stranger ideas on how I could tackle these issues and be able to use the tractor not to mention it was blistering hot out that day. Although it's been a quest of mine to find the tractor of awesomeness and yes the tractors pretty sweet but his kindness and generosity overshadow the tractor and the search for it more than words can describe and I just felt that I need to command him for that because it was important for me to share that with you all. Now to the tractor its the B 100 model this thing is a beast it's a 10 hp Kohler with the 36 inch deck I also wasn't expecting that amount of powert o come from a 10 hp engine I also got a snow blade I'm praying that it snows so much this winter lol. I was unaware that the mower decks on WH had three blades so that was interesting and cool this tractor is built like a rock sounds like a freaking helicopter because of the extra blade But cuts with precision . I'm going have to do the work on the seat due to mobility issues but I've got a few ideas in mind I hope the title is not too confusing just referring to an earlier post.
Sparky-(Admin) 21,075 #2 Posted July 31, 2016 Good lookin machine! Yep, that Kohler 10 will perform awesome with that deck...I doubt even wet grass would slow her down. Mike....

rmaynard 15,297 #5 Posted July 31, 2016 You just can't beat a B-100. My worker is a B-100. Got it in 1993 and it does everything I've ever asked her to.

T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,462 #7 Posted July 31, 2016 I'm glad you found the tractor you were looking for. Patience is the key, and I commend you on showing the patience to wait for the right tractor. You were in my neck of the woods, I'm just about 6 miles down the road from Wildside. I haven't met him yet (go figure, we're that close and yet haven't met), but I am meaning to. He sounds like a wonderful guy, so your post here gives me more ammo to go and see him. The tractor looks great, and it will handle about anything you can throw at it. I hope the mods you do make, will help you use the tractor as conveniently as is needed for your limitations. I also hope that there aren't that many mods to make so you can enjoy using the tractor sooner. Nice score.
Wheel-N-It 2,968 #8 Posted July 31, 2016 Nice looking tractor! Enjoyed the story too! I always enjoy the stories that contain more than just " Look what I scored today ". There are alot of good helpful Wheel Horse people out there, and I'm happy to know you found one. Let us know what you do with the seat to help better use the tractor.
ClassicTractorProfessor 5,308 #9 Posted July 31, 2016 Nice looking tractor you have there...should be more than capable of handling anything you throw at it. Love the story behind it too...lots of great people here at RedSquare. One of my favorite tractor buying adventures was when we bought my wife's Commando V8 and got the opportunity to meet and visit with two fellow members here. Good luck with your new Horse and keep us posted

vmen84 61 #14 Posted August 1, 2016 I'm going to work on moving back the seat this weekend I'll keep everyone updated on the process. I'm still amazed at the condition the tractor is in considering how old it its. I did play Rick Flairs theme music when I took it off the trailer which made it that much more cooler. I told my wife I was going to drive it to the polls tomorrow for the primary because it was a quality tractor made in America I'm not really going to but I just wanted to see the look on her face it was priceless.
