Thank you Dennis, I am just in awe at the talent of some of the people that belong to this club. Obviously this man does this kind or work on a regular basis. Thank you again, that was a wonderful show. B)

Hot and muggy. Lost power on Tues at 5 PM and got it back today at 11:45 AM and my generator hates me. Got power starts and runs fine, no power I pull everything lose between my belly button and back bone and it still will not start. Time to start shopping. Thinking about a generator head and a Predator 13 hp motor. Don't want to hurt my Kohlers and :wh: due to a power outage. How are you doing?

This has been a hot dry summer for us. The summer heat is peeking for us. I'm sure not as bad as you in VA.  Here is a couple of pics of our flower & veggie gardens

DSC05130.JPG   I'm off to the Twin Cities tomorrow to visit our son's family for a few days.

I'm bringing his 12 yr. old son back for some salt water fishing, Civil War Fort exploring, a big family cook out, swimming & cycling even some gardening chores. There will be a local county fair to attend.  We have fire wood to split and fire wood to stack in the work shop. He's kind of a city boy.  I don't know if he has ever seen the stars at night. I have a 1/4 acre pond out back, we'll see the stars when we have a camp fire some evening.  We don't have any sidewalks in front of our house or any street lights.  I'm going to get him so tired, he'll be begging to go back home. He has an older and younger sister.  I'm going to expose him  to as much of the natural world that I know. Hopefully this visit will give him time to decompress and find some inner strenght. B)

That sounds like a great visit for anyone. He may surprise himself learn lots of new things and realize that every day does not have to be a big rush. Get him a straw hat and a long piece of grass or straw to hang out the side of his mouth and he will start looking like a country boy. See if he will go bare foot. Have a great visit with him.

I owned and operated an autobody shop for 15 years and pounded a lot of sheet metal and formed quite a few patches but never made anything like this fellow!  I'm only guessing that maybe with time I could.  I think he did a REAL good job with everything but I'm most impressed with the hood!  Oh heck, all of the sheetmetal!

1975-77 Yanmar YM2000Z.  I got as a basket case and did a lot of work on it.  Tractor only but I have a new Jbar brush hog that can go with it.  954 hours.  It slips out of high gears after a bit or uphill.  I Don't know if that is an easy fix.  New starter fuel pump to tank.  All new belts hoses etc.  new front tires and tubes.  rear are original.
Its been a couple years since new parts but covered and cared for.  Feel free to ask any questions.  I could maybe deliver to a reasonable area.  Health says its time.  I need less responsibility and maint.  These machines need to continue to move or they wont.

Thanks guys.  Pictures soon.  about 40 minutes south from my place.

Hi all, as mentioned in another topic I visited the local harvest-show in Onstwedde again. I brought my mini International 1468 with me and got set up at around 9 in the morning. Gates opened at 10.
It was a bit overcast and wet at the beginning but it turned out to be a nice and sunny day for the most part.
@Pullstart requested some show pictures so here ya' go

All set up, waiting for the folks to come in and say Hi.

This 1/3rd scale stationary thresher is built by my dads grandpa (who has passed away) and is now owned by my dad's uncle.
He tours the country with it and displays it on several shows. It actually works and my dad's grandpa used it to harvest beans.
The steam tractor that powers it is not my dad's uncle's but happened to be there aswell so they thought let's see if the tractor can power the thresher. Worked flawlessly.

Besides the small tresher there's always a real one setup aswell. They thresh grain and bale the straw with the attached baler.
Powered by a flat belt off a vintage Hanomag tractor.

Threshing machine, Dutch built out of the province of Groningen.

Straw baler. The bales are manually tied and knotten.

This apparatus was placed before the thresher. Not 100 percent sure what it does but it seemed it gets rid of excess chaff and other unwanted debris.

Who can guess what these are and/or what they're used for?

Vintage DAF truck. Dutch truck brand. This one was very nicely restored.

And another one, this one obviously for military use. Note the second axle which is free rolling. This helped it conquer dunes and tranches in rough conditions. My granddad used to operate one of these.

Also no big center differential on the back axles but driveshafts coming directly from the main gearbox. The shock is the rear of the vehicle. I guess they went this route for maximum ground clearance and articulation.
