stevasaurus 22,764 #1 Posted July 14, 2016 I've got a good friend, his son just bought a farm house west of town here and this John Deere came with it. It is a newer one...back wheels do the steering. He is looking for a good John Deere website that might be able to answer questions and maybe have a manual for it. sorry, don't know the model #...just looking for a site like Red Square for John Deeres. I sent him the link for MTF. Any other sites out there. Thanks
KC9KAS 4,741 #2 Posted July 14, 2016 @stevasaurus I think JD manuals are hard to come by on the WWW. JD still controls the manuals so they shut them down if they see them posted. Found this out from someone on another GT forum
Sparky-(Admin) 21,336 #3 Posted July 14, 2016 Isn't there a dedicated JD forum called Weekend Freedom Machines? Where's T-Mo...he'll know . Mike.....

Just can't believe the politically correct obscenity filter let you say JD so many times.

T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,496 #8 Posted July 15, 2016 Steve, give me the model number and I'll see if I have it in pdf format. It it steers by the rear wheels and has a steering wheel, then it's a SST (Spin Steer Tractor). For that there is a Yahoo group page dedicated to those machines. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/John_Deere_SST_Club/info Here is the link to WFM, www.wfmachines.com. Also, in my many dealings it seems that in my area used Wheel Horses cost more than John Deeres. Having both brands, plus a few Cub Cadets, there are things to like and dislike about them all. One thing you will find on WFM, there is no brand bashing. It isn't allowed, nor for that matter, it just doesn't make sense to bash other brands. Wheel Horses on WFM, as well as CCs, are highly respected there, as well as they should be. As I said, as many here know, there are pros and cons on any color tractor.
