stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #1 Posted July 13, 2016 So a few months ago I found a really unbelievable deal on this 1984 ski tique. I have been cleaning it up and had the stripe repainted. This boat came from the factory with lettering that was taped off and then painted the stripe around it so they never actually made decals for this year and model. As usual with I have a project I call Terry. He went above and beyond as always. The only ones he did not do are the two small ones in the back. Here are the results of Terry's decals! 15
19richie66 17,500 #2 Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) Nice boat. If I remember correctly, those were made in Orlando. I thought they were "Ski Nautique"? I used to drive by the factory all the time when I delivered parts for a dealership. Not there anymore. Edited July 13, 2016 by 19richie66

stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #4 Posted July 13, 2016 You are correct. Made in Orlando. It is a Correct Craft. Most were called ski nautique but some years in the late 70's and early 80's they called them ski tique for some reason.

Also not quite as many amenities. Nonetheless - excellent boats! I've been pulled by both back in the day and they do the one thing they were designed to do - pull skiers - really well! Really nice boat you've got and what a great job on the graphics!
JimD 3,345 #7 Posted July 14, 2016 Great job on the boat and decals. Do you think you finally have a boat that will beat KenB?
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #8 Posted July 15, 2016 I got this bimini top off ebay and like the quality and fit. Got it today and installed it this afternoon. For now I am going to call it done and get out on the lake and tow the kids around a bit. 13 hours ago, JimD said: Great job on the boat and decals. He and I had a little race off this past weekend with the old crestliners
Ken B 3,164 #9 Posted July 15, 2016 Boat looks great Steve and has come a long way in a short time! Steve and I did do some cottage racing this past weekend... We trash talked each other all winter as to who would have braggin rights... We must have raced each other at least a half dozen times, the results IMHO... To close to call but damn was it fun.... I'm just happy my old 56 Merc ran flawless all day long having spent the day mostly WFO. If I can ever talk my brother into selling me my old Master Craft back Steve will be in for some more hurt... 1
Sovin Ski 0 #10 Posted July 4, 2020 Came across this forum and I am about to buy an 83 ski tique. The exterior is void of any decals/paint. I would like to restore it as accurately as possible. Is the best option to take it somewhere to have the entire exterior painted? Im not sure if its possible to simply get decals to put on? Thanks in advance for any advice. We’d love any pictures you have, of the future boat ownership or tractors
c-series don 8,666 #12 Posted July 5, 2020 I believe that originally they were call Ski Nautiques and had big script lettering on the side. I remember as a kid a friend of mine had one and that thing would haul ass and turn on a dime. It had three scegs in the center of the hull to enable it to turn like that. clueless 2,976 #13 Posted July 5, 2020 (edited) Skied behind both the Nautique and the Tique many times, the Tique was a little shorter. Both were the best boat to teach people how to ski, not a lot of dragging you in the water before you got up. They would pull my 280lb ass up in a couple of seconds . You could turn the wheel hard to port or starboard back off the throttle and do a 180 and be almost heading back in your wake trail, (please do not try this at home) .
