dells68 7,498 #1 Posted July 13, 2016 Well, I'm sitting here for therapy with Dad. I've done a little to my roller I picked up from Limited12. Below are some pics. I've added 10.5" rear tires, a predator motor with custom rear exit exhaust, and wheelie bars. I've used a peroxide, salt, vinegar solution to promote a rusty patina. With the straight piles this thing almost sounds like a motorcycle! Got a few more things in the works that I'll post later!

dells68 7,498 #11 Posted July 15, 2016 Thanks guys! Back out for therapy with Dad again. Definitely goi g to leave the bullet holes Paul!!! I love the character. This poor thing has been modded, tweaked, and cut on by previous owners and I'm leaving it all! They also jacked the hood up with two 3/4" pieces of wood. Planning on replacing them with a metal block with mounts for a set of headlights. I also just painted the wheels regal red and clearcoated the metal to preserve the patina. I did decide to use a set of wider wheel horse branded tires and wheels on the front. I can't decide if I want the wheels to stay all red or to put a narrow silver stripe around the outer rim. I hope to lower the front sometime down the road. Jeff, that's one of the 6.5 horse predator engines and man does it sound mean with straight pipes! I'll try to post some more pics when I get back out next week. And Dad is doing great with therapy! He gets his stitches out next Thursday which should help with some of the pulling and pain.

dells68 7,498 #15 Posted July 18, 2016 Well, looks like Dad has appointments everyday this week so I'll try to check in. I got the wheels painted, decided to use my short frame front wheels for the rod look, and clear coated the tractor. Overall I'm pretty pleased with how it looks. Going to put a back rest on the seat. Our tractor club is having our annual show this thurs - sat and I'm going to take all 6 of our horses. Not many people around here know much about . Oh, I've already tried the wheelie bars - that front lifts really easily.

Achto 28,788 #18 Posted July 18, 2016 I like it a lot! Wheelie bars are a necessity with the Predator engine. I did some work to mine, getting around 8hp out of it and changed the engine pulley out for a 3" one. Keeping the front end down can be a bit of a challenge. Again looks great, have fun with it. Best wishes to your dad.
dells68 7,498 #19 Posted July 20, 2016 Thanks guys. Going to haul our horses and my 8n Ford to our club's annual show this evening. Probably the only there. In our part of Virginia they are great conversation pieces because so few people here have seen them! I'll try to post a pic of them all lined up at the show.
dells68 7,498 #20 Posted July 22, 2016 Finally got all of our horses to our show. Right now we have about 130 tractors, 7 are lawn and garden tractors - our 6 horses and one green thing. I'm sure more farm tractors will come today and tomorrow. I'll try to post pics sometime between now and Monday. I also found out that the tri state antique power association in Gray, TN will be featuring lawn and garden tractors at their show at the end of next April! We'll have to take some of our horses down.

dells68 7,498 #22 Posted July 25, 2016 Well, made it through our show in 95 degree heat! Only one other lgt came and it was so scared when it saw my horses that it turned green. Got lots of positive responses and even a lead on a couple of horses in need of love at a reasonable price provided the gentleman doesn't back out. Anyway, here's a few pics from our show. Very nice weekend! We had all 6 of our horses, a WH dump cart, and my Ford 8n there.
