TIGman 2,006 #1 Posted July 3, 2016 (edited) Finished putting my seat update on the 1054 today. Yes, I know it's not original, but my tired Old back Loves it !! Took the seat pan off from a parts mower I have for my "Box Store"rider. Went to the Farm store picked out a seat. Made up a a mounting bracket and we are off to the races. Still able to access the fuel tank. Thanks! to Lane Ranger and others for photos they posted giving me ideas for this update. KC9KAS 4,741 #2 Posted July 3, 2016 A lot of my Wheel Horse tractors have a replacement seat from Rural King. If any "purest" doesn't approve, sorry!
953 nut 55,021 #3 Posted July 3, 2016 Nothing wrong with a non-original seat. just save the seat frame or pass it on to a member who needs one. See you did a bit of painting while it was apart.

Figured this would be a good weekend to do extra work on the 1054. Here's a June 23rd picture when I brought it home. And July 3rd pictures after a little painting. TIGman 2,006 #6 Posted July 4, 2016 Still have to get ahold of Glen for some headlight lenses and match up front tires. Probably a new set of decals too.
squonk 41,016 #7 Posted July 4, 2016 Love the seat. For all the good did why they insisted on just slapping a seat on a fender pan with no springs is beyond me.
AMC RULES 37,125 #8 Posted July 4, 2016 I think, because some people come with built in springs.
