cdr_warsstar 106 #1 Posted June 29, 2016 Short time lurker here. I'm from the north side Indianapolis, near Zionsville. I have a 312-8, not sure of year, with a 48" deck, a snow blade, and a snowblower. I also just got a Raider 10 and a 42"? deck a couple months ago. It has the HH100, but the ignition is out, so I'm in the process of replacing it with a Kohler 10 from a 310-8. Photos of the 312-8 rigged for winter duty (just picked up the snowblower this spring), and the Raider 10 on its way home.
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,507 #3 Posted June 29, 2016 Welcome. Nice tractors. Your 312-8 looks like a maroon stripe (it's hard to tell with the snow). That will date it somewhat.

cdr_warsstar 106 #13 Posted June 29, 2016 Thanks everyone! 9 hours ago, Molon_Labe said: Welcome from Noblesville Let me know if you want to part with that HH100! I was actually planning on parting it out to make some of what I spent on the Kohler back, but if someone local wants the whole thing, shoot me an offer. The guy I bought the Raider from had apparently repaired and replaced just about everything trying to get it to run. I think the only thing he didn't replace was the ignition. 32 minutes ago, JC 1965 said: Raider looks to be in really good condition. Thanks! The guy I bought it from did a pretty good job restoring it. I'm going to try and keep it that way. And the 312-8 is going to be going in for overhaul once the Raider is up and running. ztnoo 2,298 #15 Posted June 30, 2016 (edited) Well.............at certain times of the year, Indiana is like a Banana Republic. Dog Days Of August.......if you get my drift. This crop use to fuel farm animals primarily. Meaning it went toward meat production. Now, a lot of the production of this crop is wasted in enormous energy losses creating corn (ethanol) fuel, which eats our older engines alive in short periods of time if allowed to sit for prolonged periods. Its a beautiful, life sustaining plant (corn) that has been totally mispurposed for political reasons and agendas. The economics don't naturally work, but as long as this misdirected production avenue is subsidized by Uncle Sam, the folly will continue. I still love the view from the back of my lot looking EAST: Looking SE. Looking SSE. Edited June 30, 2016 by ztnoo
