Problem is that it is no longer made.  If you like an oil-based paint Valspar Restoration Series was good. I think Farm and Implement paint is still made, but it is no where as good as the old VRS.

I've been using Valspar IH Red on my horses for some time.  I spray with an HVLP gun and hardener.  I've had excellent results.  I don't think the Restoration Series is still available, but the regular series is.  I get mine from Amazon.

VanSickle makes a real good acrylic enamel that is reasonably priced. I have used it on multiple projects from farm & garden tractors restorations to trucks. If you prefer a oil base enamel they also make that. I use the acrylic because I the dry times are shorter and the gloss is better.

I get mine from Fleet Farm, unfortunately they don't have any stores in OH. I would go to vansicklepaint.com and get the numbers for every thing you need primer, paint, hardener, and reducer (the reducer is the same for the paint & primer if you use acrylic enamel) Then you can check the web for a local dealer, order from fleetfarm.com, or I have a number for a local guy (to me) that I could pm you.

Looks like Western Ohio Hardware is a Vansickle dealer www.wotruevalue.com/AdditionalPages/Departments/PaintDepartment.aspx. Don't if they have a store close to you though.

Paint & primer is available in qts,#171 red oxide primer, #174 IH red. The reducer 9090 I have only found in gallons. Hardener A7019 I believe is in 8oz cans.

VanSickle makes good paint...I used some of their Ford blue tractor and implement paint when I repainted my bucket truck...keep in mind this was a cheap/quick rattle can job but it turned out really good. I imagine if you buy all the stuff to do it "right" it would turn out super nice...two weeks after I painted my truck I had a limb get away from me, slid right down the boom and across top of the cab...not a scratch one it

Agreed VanSickle makes great paint. I am a big fan. I am not a Rust-O-leum fan though.
