Conn28D 1 #1 Posted June 19, 2016 Can anyone tell me anything about the Wheel Horse 8-25 mowers. I have an opportunity to buy one, but know very little about them.
stevasaurus 22,712 #2 Posted June 19, 2016 Here is the manual for it...click on the link. I think they are kind of cute and great for a small yard. I think they are going for around $200 + or - depending on shape.
Conn28D 1 #3 Posted June 19, 2016 Thanks. Have found only one on eBay listed in working condition and they were asking $500 OBO. All the others I've seen ranged $125 to over $250 and were listed as for parts only. Shopped Craig's List too and saw nothing except for a nice Craftsman of similar design for $500 in Oregon for local pick up only. The good thing about the one I located locally is that it was sold by the same shop who has it back for resale and the shop has done all the maintenance on it over the years. It's a one owner machine and lightly used for a 1992 version. It looks great; I just wanna be sure I'm talking myself into buying it because I want one.
stevasaurus 22,712 #4 Posted June 20, 2016 Price is a relative thing. A new push mower is probably over $300 and you get to ride on this one...so if it is real nice, it may be worth $500 OBO.
oldredrider 2,548 #5 Posted June 20, 2016 I do know they give an excellent cut with the single blade. In good shape, $250 is a good price.
cleat 5,861 #6 Posted June 20, 2016 I bought this little 111-6 last year for 125.00 CDN. A new battery and main drive belt and it is good to go.
