Fun Engineer 859 #1 Posted June 15, 2016 (edited) So what's the correct way to install this in the slot hitch? #1 looks right to me but I've never used one. This way? #1 Or #2 Edited June 15, 2016 by Fun Engineer Forgot pictures

ol550 830 #3 Posted June 15, 2016 Number 2, There is a angle piece you may not have. Borrowed one of Wheelhorseman1000's pics.
Achto 27,989 #4 Posted June 15, 2016 Looks to me like it would depend on where you want your hitch height.
Phatboy 565 #5 Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) That particular hitch you have needs to have the bolts on top and yes you need that piece pictured in ol550's picture the stops the implement ie.. Brinly plow from swaying back and forth,, and keeps it straight,, if you dont have it your plow will not function properly .. Example it will not turn soil properly and may rise up out of the dirt because the plow share will not be flat and will either dig to deep or not deep enough..hope that helps.. Fun Engineer 859 #6 Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) I have the part. just needed to know the proper orientation of the hitch. If it's installed as Phatboy and Shynon suggests, the metal angle sits awkward on the angled hitch gusset. It sits flat if installed as in photo #2. But without the metal angle it "looks" correct in photo #1 with bolts up. Thanks everyone for your help. Edited June 16, 2016 by Fun Engineer
CasualObserver 3,409 #7 Posted June 16, 2016 It goes flat side up. By the way... the adapter is a Brinly HH-180... it's in the manuals. I scanned it years ago from an NOS one I have.
Fun Engineer 859 #8 Posted June 16, 2016 (edited) Thanks Casual. I didn't think of looking in the manuals section. I'll have to make a copy. Interesting that it is installed differently from a Ford or Jacobson. Edited June 16, 2016 by Fun Engineer
