can a charger 12 w/ electric pto be changed to a manual pto? if so what would you need?

You will have to remove the Electric PTO and few related parts.  DO NOT use any sort of gear puller to take the Electric PTO off of the engine....you WILL RUIN it. 

The right way is to (1) remove the center bolt that holds the E-PTO onto the crankshaft.  (2) get a 5/8-11 (maybe 3/4-10) coarse thread bolt of at least 5 inch long and thread it into the same hollow where the center bolt was.  (3) There are threads inside this hole for the 5/8 (or 3/4) bolt.  (4) this 5/8  bolt will bottom out onto the end of the crankshaft and in doing so, will force the E-PTO outward and off the crankshaft. 

 

I have done this conversion a few times before and, once that is off of the engine, you will need pretty much EVERYTHING in this schematic.
