RJ35 without break kit

Can someone tell me how hard it is to stop an RJ35 without a break kit? :laughing-rofl:

As I understand it you were to put the direction/speed control lever in "Reverse" to stop forward motion, Mine is a project so I've never attempted this but if you read page 4 you will see what I mean. They do tell you to not let it get moving too fast.   :scared-eek:

There will be many at the show for you to take notes (including mine) and draw up the pieces you need to fab. I have 35's with and without brakes and you won't see me driving the one without very often:ph34r:

And at the show you can get some measurements. The one Craig posted are more common. The early 55's did not have a flex brake cable rather a solid rod. I will have it at the show for you to check out. I suppose you could build either one. 

Kill switch does not stop it from freewheeling. Ask my buddy about that... He rode it down the back hill and actually rolled it over at about 15-20 mph:ph34r:

I have had many RJ35s without a brake kit, just skooch one of your feet forward on the foot peg and drag it on top of the tire... unless you are going down a steep grade you'll be fine.

 

Falling straight off the top of the Empire State Building these things can't hit 5mph
