rexman72 210 #1 Posted June 3, 2016 I am in the process of restoring a homemade loader for my D200 and wondering what GPM pumps you use and the size of the pulley you use on your loaders and wheres the best place to buy them?
WNYPCRepair 1,923 #2 Posted June 3, 2016 Northern Tool has a few. I built my own loader with this pump and a 6" pulley, but it might be just a bit too powerful, the bucket moves a little faster than I would like. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200329712_200329712

squonk 41,639 #6 Posted June 3, 2016 I run a .5 cu in 5GPM pump on my homemade Power King loader. You have to match the pump output with the cylinder size. loader boom length, and engine RPM. If you have a hydraulic specialty shop near you talk to them.

You can always adjust the flow by changing pulley sizes. I went 1:1 ratio for my setup but if you find it going too fast, you can go with a larger pulley on the pump to slow the rpm. That's the same pump PF Engineering recommends for their loaders too.
rexman72 210 #11 Posted June 15, 2016 thats good to know.I was thinking about going with a 4 to 5 inch pulley.

Pullstart 63,201 #13 Posted June 15, 2016 (edited) I don't have a loader, but for my plow trucks I've got a few belt driven plow pumps by fisher that I would imagine could do the trick if they fit in your space allowed. They have a reservoir large enough for the plow cylinder to raise and lower, so if you're using a dual acting cylinder that fills one side as it empties the other, I'd imagine the self contained reservoir would work just fine. I use these pumps along with northern tool spool valves http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_8516_8516 to run my front plow raise/lower/float, front plow turn and rear plow up/down (pressure both ways) powered by the truck engine without any problems. The fisher pumps can be had on ebay from time to time, there's one now for $78 or best offer including shipping... Edited June 15, 2016 by pullstart specifying truck use... And a front tachomatic? If so, maybe the XI type loader mount might work. A bit of fabrication, but not extremely difficult
rexman72 210 #16 Posted June 16, 2016 yes they have a front pto and front tachomatic.I will have to look at an XI loader

rexman72 210 #18 Posted June 17, 2016 those pics look like they attach to where my mowing deck pulleys go
82Caddy 851 #19 Posted June 17, 2016 It attaches in front of the attach-a-matric bracket. There are two holes the ark loader pump bracket bolts to. Same place the front lower pto guard thing is between the frame rails. There's lots more pictures out there if you look for them.

The thread below shows the XI mount a member here made. I kind of copied it, I bought an extra mule drive and modified it for mine.
