Racinbob 11,257 #27 Posted June 12, 2016 There were some tagged Raiders through 1974 but none after that. The first Raider was in 1968.
ohiofarmer 3,276 #28 Posted June 13, 2016 (edited) I checked the key on the other side and tightened the key retainer. About half of the slop is gone. If this tractor was pulling anything more than a mower, I would fix it straight away. I did find out that a Chevy Impala rear disc brake rotor lines up perfectly with the bolt pattern, so When i finally pull the hub, five bolts with an old socket and that brake rotor should pull it off nice and even to avoid breaking the hub with a conventional gear puller. A better project for after the mowing season. Some years ago i made up a special puller using this principle to remove a front hub for bearing replacement on a 3500 Dodge Cummins. The dealership mechanics use a fire wrench to cut them off as a general rule, so it saved me a bunch of money. Edited June 13, 2016 by ohiofarmer
