squonk 41,051 #1 Posted June 1, 2016 Riding Around the Grounds With Customs being the feature tractor for next year, we cannot stress enough the need to be safe, and maintain safe speeds during the show. Please be mindful of your speed and all of the people riding and walking around the show. We understand that with these custom machines there could be a desire to show off but this cannot happen. If you see anyone riding fast or recklessly, please ask them to slow down, or report them to a member of the Wheel Horse Collector’s Club. We cannot stress enough that our first accident will be the end of the show. Please help us in ensuring that everyone is safe. Submitted by: The Board of Directors Here! Here! Let's be safe out there!

nylyon-(Admin) 7,273 #11 Posted June 8, 2016 I think that this is really important both for the longevity of the show and for our safety. 2 years ago while videoing the parade, I exited John's beautiful 4 wheel wagon, and 10 seconds later it was hit by a dual rear wheel machine, thankfully I was already out because I don't think I could handle much more head trauma. with this year being customs, I hope that the macho display of power is kept to a reasonable and safe level.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,330 #12 Posted June 8, 2016 Great topic. I had that talk with my son about safe driving at the show. If anyone sees my boy driving his "hot rod" fast or goofing off with it, feel free to stop him and pull him off of it. Then have him come tell me what happened. The show is so big it is hard to keep an eye on him all the time. Good to have a few friends watching him as well
