Lane Huls 146 #1 Posted June 1, 2016 Guy I work with wants to give me an LT 1600, and im totally fine with that, however the transmission is toast. I have a B-111 that's getting closer to parts tractor every day. Both being vertical shaft mowers that are a lot alike, could I bolt up the B-111 trans? stevasaurus 22,883 #2 Posted June 1, 2016 Do you have the Foote or the Pearless transmission in the B-111?? I know someone that switched those in his B-111. I would think the answer to your question is "yes", but I can not say for sure. If the mounts are the same, it should be OK. Being those are both vertical shaft horses, you may not get a solid "yes" from any one.
Lane Huls 146 #3 Posted June 1, 2016 (edited) I've got the 6 speed in the B-111, I see the Foote came as a 3 or 6 speed don't know about the peerless? So im not sure either. Might just have to be a try and see. Edited June 1, 2016 by Lane Huls

stevasaurus 22,883 #6 Posted June 1, 2016 The member I know of had the 6 speed Foote (automatic) (like yours I think). The Peerless in the B-111s is a manual 4 speed. The Foote lost reverse and he got the Peerless #669 4 speed from another member and it went right in. He is using it now. Because you said they look alike, it makes me think you will be OK. If you could, like Richard said...take pictures and document the process. We don't hear much about the vertical shaft horses, but they are out there.
