Wheel Horse in the rough

While I'm running the Boring Mill today perhaps with the proper blueprints I can mill out a "New" Wheel Horse tractor.

Giddings & Lewis Hybormill  5" 1967 vintage, old machine - old operator When not welding I am running boring mill.

    Thanks for the reply.Wow!II I  spent hundreds of hours running the same machine that had been converted to run CNC.We did three dimensional contour work with this macihine.In the early 60'S a 3d map of the lunar surface was created on this machine.If you think of this is old I learned on machines that had War Production Board labels all over them.Man what memories,and C shaped scars on my chest.Thanks for the memories!Luck,JAinVA

To be precise it's a G&L Fraser 70 A-D5-T .  No CNC controls but used to have digital readout they never bothered to replace,so I work of the machine dial and indicator...... 

Table is 5' X 10', plenty of room for my

Wheel Horse 875.   Guys tell me I need rollerskates, somedays trying to Weld and run Boring Mill the same time.

I love seeing "fabrication stuff". My son went to welding school, graduated and ran with it. He just started working in a fab shop building marine tuna towers and ski towers. I found this video online. For some reason I can't stop watching it

I think my Tool& Die/Machinist/ Welder background will come in handy with my 875 restoration. . I sure have done enough stuff on Wheel Horse items for other people including tractors of colors like Green,Orange,Yellow,Blue etc.....
