doc724 925 #2 Posted May 26, 2016 Common problem. Take off the tunnel cover and lift up the rubber boot that went around the shift lever. You will see a little setscrew there. Put the shift lever back into the place where it came out and screw the set screw into the ring around the shift lever where there is a small indentation. Not too tight-you will know if it is too tight as you will have difficulty moving the lever. Tighten the jam nut to prevent the set screw from moving again. Reinstall the boot and tunnel cover. Racinbob 11,259 #4 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) That's a good explanation on how to do it. Make sure your shifter forks are in the neutral position (use a screwdriver). They will look like this. Tighten the setscrew just until you start feeling resistance as you shift through the gears.
